Ok... this should be the final change to the 2010 QLD Event Schedule...
Looks there is plenty of racing to be had so if you miss out you can't blame us!!! Very Happy

I see the Maryborough race is being held on the Anzac day weekend. Do you all realize we won't fly on the Sunday until noon?? I am not sure if we are dropping one class or just what is being done to get all the flights in with only 1.5 days scheduled to race??
There were comments made at the meeting that 1/2May was the better weekend but this fell on deaf ears apparently.

We have problems running events in 2 days,
QMARA meeting at Bundaberg stated by the minutes either Anzac weekend or 1/2 May. with a question mark to be desided by a email to the Maryborough club which would be the best.

We desided ( Karen & Myself) the May was the better of the 2 as Anzac day is very busy

It had already had the ok for May sent out the callender, changes was done before I got home from work.
Emails saying the date has been changed
We can still change this date (thanks to Maryborough Club and Neil both dates are fine.)

can discuss this isue further at the AGM in Rocky as time is on ourside

What is there to discuss?? The Anzac tradition was forgotten when the suggestion was made for that date, but now we have had time to settle and check dates it seems obvious to me that the 24/25th is not an option.

When I left the meeting I was under the impression the favourable date was the May labour day weekend, as there was only one person that was not available that weekend.

Q500 event at Maryborough on the 3rd of April has been CANCELLED...

This Date falls on the Easter weekend so will not have the attendance required to run the event...
Next "Q500 ONLY" event at Maryborough will be the 22nd of May...

So can anyone confirm when the next race meeting is? are we racing the anzac day weekend or ????

Yep, Anzac weekend at Maryborough, Bruce should be sending out the program shortly.

Possible program is
Sat 9am start with QE46, 7 to 9 rounds depending on entries then 5 rounds of F3D
Sunday 1pm start with F400 up to 9 rouinds if entries and weather permits
Monday 9am start with 7 to 9 rounds of Q500 then up to 4 rounds of F3D.
It is a tough one to work out with the Anzac day break on Sunday morning, but if we all move quick and start on time we should all get 9 rounds of flying in each class.
Not sure yet if the club will cater on the Sunday or Monday, will know after their meeting at the end of this month.
Will post the official program on the Official QMARA web page as soon as we are finalized with it.

what days are we racing or is it a case of "who is first" What? no! hes on second" BECAUSE IM CONFUSED is monday a holiday?
please confirm any on im just a dume pylon racer and can only go left so it takes me a little time to catch on Rolling Eyes

Anzac Day Race Meet \ Maryborough 24th, 25th, 26th April

7 to 9 rounds depending on entry level.

Sat 8:30am Pilot briefing
Sat 9am to 12pm - 7 to 9 rounds QE 46
Sat 1pm to end – 5 rounds F3D (Australia 1)

Sunday pre 1pm NO FLYING of pylon planes. Pilot briefing 12:30pm
Sunday 1pm to end F400 ( max engine size .40 cu in ) 7 to 9 rounds

Monday 8:30am Pilot briefing
Monday 9am to 12pm 7 to 9 rounds Q500
Monday 1pm to finished 4 rounds F3D (Australia 1)

Is a difficult one to sort out, but sounds good to me, but i only have 1.25hr drive each way each day (Just like going to work but is not work!) Smile
